Today is Thursday, 2026-10-29 — a good day to look up at the sky and remember where you stand in the turning of the year.

🌙 The Moon Tonight

The Moon is Waning Gibbous (85% illuminated) and waning. It is 18.8 days through its cycle. The next full moon falls on 2026-11-24 — a natural moment for release, gratitude and rest.

🕯️ The Wheel of the Year

The next sabbat is Samhain (Oct 31 – Nov 1) — In 8 days, on 2026-11-06. The Witch’s New Year. The final harvest and the night the veil is thinnest — ancestors are honored with fire and remembrance.

☀️ Today’s Energy

Today is Thursday, under the light of Thor — Jupiter. Thor’s day (Jupiter to the Romans): strength, protection and abundance. The hammer-bearer who thunders across the sky, guardian of home and hearth. Companion rune: Thurisaz (ᚦ), the protective thorn.

ᚱ Rune of the Day — ᛞ Dagaz

Keywords: dawn, breakthrough. The day-gate — waking light, turning points and the shift to a brighter path.

💫 Daily Reflection

As the Waning Gibbous moon softly retreats, illuminating 85% of her journey, we find ourselves in a season of gentle release. The air carries a whisper of Samhain, just eight days away, inviting reflection on cycles completed and the thinning veil. On this Thursday, drawing on the steady strength of Thor and the expansive wisdom of Jupiter, we stand firm. Yet, within this quiet preparation, the rune Dagaz emerges: a potent ‘day-gate.’ It speaks of sudden clarity, a waking light, and a turning point that subtly shifts our path towards brighter understanding, even as the outer world prepares for deeper rest. Embrace this quiet emergence.
