Today is Thursday, 2026-10-15 — a good day to look up at the sky and remember where you stand in the turning of the year.

🌙 The Moon Tonight

The Moon is Waxing Crescent (21% illuminated) and waxing. It is 4.8 days through its cycle. The next new moon falls on 2026-11-09 — a natural moment for intention-setting and beginnings.

🕯️ The Wheel of the Year

The next sabbat is Samhain (Oct 31 – Nov 1) — In 22 days, on 2026-11-06. The Witch’s New Year. The final harvest and the night the veil is thinnest — ancestors are honored with fire and remembrance.

☀️ Today’s Energy

Today is Thursday, under the light of Thor — Jupiter. Thor’s day (Jupiter to the Romans): strength, protection and abundance. The hammer-bearer who thunders across the sky, guardian of home and hearth. Companion rune: Thurisaz (ᚦ), the protective thorn.

ᚱ Rune of the Day — ᚺ Hagalaz

Keywords: hail, disruption. The storm-grain that clears the air — endings that make room for seeds.

💫 Daily Reflection

Under the watchful gaze of the waxing crescent moon, now 21% illuminated, we feel the gentle tug of growth. As Samhain approaches in 22 days, a time of natural thinning and introspection, today’s Thursday energy, robust and expansive, reminds us to embrace change. The rune Hagalaz speaks of the storm-grain that clears the air, a natural process of release. It’s about endings that aren’t truly final, but rather make fertile ground. Notice where clearings appear in your own life, understanding that these spaces are precisely where new seeds are meant to fall, awaiting their season to sprout.
