Honoring the Divine Feminine: International Women’s Day 2026

As the Wheel turns towards Spring, we approach International Women’s Day on March 8th, a day to honor the sacred feminine in all its forms. This year, the United Nations has chosen the theme “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls,” highlighting the ongoing pursuit of equality and empowerment for women worldwide.

For Pagans, this day holds a special significance. We recognize the Goddess in her many aspects – as Maiden, Mother, and Crone – and understand the inherent power and wisdom that resides within all women. It is a time to reflect on the progress made in achieving equality, while also acknowledging the challenges that remain.

The UN reports that women globally possess only 64% of the legal rights afforded to men. This disparity underscores the urgent need for continued advocacy and action to ensure that all women have the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.

Let us celebrate the strength, resilience, and unique contributions of women in our communities and around the world. May we work together to create a world where all individuals are treated with respect, dignity, and fairness. This International Women’s Day, let us honor the Divine Feminine by supporting women’s rights, seeking justice, and taking action to create a more equitable and harmonious world for all. May the Goddess guide our steps.
